Five handcast, lead-free, pewter skull buttons. This button was inspired by a medieval original and each button was cast individually into a hand-carved soapstone mold. They are what I like to call unique multiples, so they're each a little different, but all quite similar. Each button is 9/16" diameter (close to 15 mm), with a sturdy loop in back. The final picture indicates my new packaging.

There are two choices as to finish: you can either have the bright silver of the pewter, or I can blacken it slightly, using a non-toxic paint. The paint does not come off in the wash. If you do not specify a preference, you will receive the bright silver.

See objects number: 05620, 05505, 05454 and 05479. They appear in Flemish manuscripts which date from 1475 - 1549.
